The Sephora sale is officially here! Now is the best time to stock up on your favorite makeup and skincare (and also maybe try a couple new products!). Each year I wait for these sales that only happen about twice a year to snag everything I’ll need for the year… your girl loves a good sale!
In this post I have outlined my long-time favorites as well as some new products that I am looking forward to trying out.
WHEN CAN I SHOP?
The sale is open to the public based on shopping tiers. If you aren’t sure what tier you are, log into your Sephora account and it should tell you. Anyone can sign up (for free) to become a Sephora “Insider” and you will automatically get 10% off during the sale. If you buy anything at all at Sephora, I recommend signing up to get the discount.
- TIER 1- ROGUE: MEMBERS RECEIVE 20% OFF BEGINNING 4/1- 4/11
- TIER 2- VIB: MEMBERS RECEIVE 15% OFF BEGINNING 4/5- 4/11
- TIER 3- INSIDER: MEMBERS RECEIVE 10% OFF BEGINNING 4/7-4/11
TIPS AND ADVICE
Here are some tips and tricks for the best experience when shopping at Sephora:
- Don’t guess when it comes to foundation. Go in-store and have a beauty expert match your skin. They will also take into consideration your skin concerns and will lead you in the right direction when it comes to finding products right for you. Makeup/skincare is NOT one size fits all.
- In store: take complete advantage of the fact that Sephora beauty experts will do an entire face of makeup for you to show you how/ what products to use. If you are new to makeup, go in store and tell them you’re interested in starting from scratch and they’ll do a face of makeup for free to try out some products.
- Cream & powder makeup is very different and both work best on different types of skin. I just learned this. My skin runs pretty dry and so this time around I am trying out cream bronzers/ blushes to see how they do.
- Did you know every order comes with 2 free samples? During checkout, a drop down list will appear and it will allow you to select 2 samples to try. DO IT! This is a great way to try out some new products before buying them.
- For the sale, you’ll be using promo code “SaveSpring” but throughout the year you can also use other various promo codes to get even more for free. Above the “promo code” box, there is an option to “view featured offers.” From there, select a promo code that interests you!
- Read alllll the reviews for every single product you are interested in buying. I have learned SO MUCH from doing so. I love hearing real experiences from real people.
MY PICKS
- Youth to the People Dream Mask: this is an incredibly hydrating mask. I struggle with dry skin pretty much year round and this product is amazing. It has great reviews! I use this as the last step in my nightly skincare routine.
- Esteé Lauder Double Wear Foundation: I have used this foundation for years and it’s great! It’s full coverage and reasonably priced.
- Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick: I order this in the cult-favorite shade “Pillow Talk.” It is the perfect everyday shade of pink and looks good on everyone. I actually wore this during my wedding!
- Nars blush: this blush is so pigmented so a little bit goes a long way! I wear shade “orgasm” and it’s the perfect pink blush.
- First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: intense hydration – need I say more?!
- Drybar Dry Shampoo: if you’re like me and have tried all the dry shampoo brands out there without any success… try this one. I have thin, straight hair and normal dry shampoo makes me hair feel even greasier/ weighed down. This one is the best I’ve tried!
- Too Faced Born This Way Concealer: this concealer has great reviews! I have never tried it but it’s on my list to grab during the sale!
- Westman Atelier Cream Contour: this is a highly recommended cream bronzer that so excited to try! It’s also a clean beauty product!
- Ilia Bronzer Powder: the reviews say that this product is highly pigmented so it will last forever! I’m al excited to try this brand as I’ve heard great things.
- Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel: I use this product 1x a week and it’s amazing. I originally received this product as part of a PR package and I’ve purchased it ever since. The kit is definitely pricier but I promise it’s worth it!
