It’s no secret that running a blog while working a full time job takes a good amount of planning and organization. I think most people are surprised when I tell them I work a full time job on top of blogging because it seems most do one or the other. I am here to say it’s 100% possible to do both as long as you are ORGANIZED! Though there are many ways that I organize my life, the single most important way is by utilizing a daily life planner.
Over the past couple years I’ve done a good amount of research on planners and have it down to a science on the kind that works best for what I’m trying to accomplish. Obviously not everyone is looking for the same type of planner and that’s why I have broken them down by category to better help you select the kind that fits your lifestyle best!
I hope that this guide will be useful for you for selecting a planner that is just right!
The Content Planner ($60): this planner is by far the best option if you are looking for the best way to plan out your social media content (aka influencers!). I have used this planner in the past and absolutely love it. Here are some unique reasons why I think this is a fantastic planner:
- Includes a spread on all the holiday/ marketing dates (allows you to plan in advance for your holiday content).
- Monthly & weekly goal setting
- Comes with useful stickers that allow you to view your schedule at a glance (Ex. social media stickers to notify you of certain posting dates, etc.)
- Lots of writing space for you to jot down ideas
Erin Condren LifePlanner ($55): this planner is perfect for those that have multiple things going on at once (like running a blog and working a full time job!). This year I opted for an Erin Condren planner because I needed something that would be useful for not only content planning but also just daily life/ work as well. I am so far really impressed with it. Here’s some unique reasons why I like it:
- Comes in tons of different prints/allows for customization
- Each date has 3 sections for different roles you might have during your day (ex. In my case, I can separate for blog/ work/ gym)
- Calendar at a glance for major to-do’s
Erin Condren Teacher Lesson Planner ($55): if you are a teacher you need this planner! Such a great way to keep all your thoughts, lessons, students, etc. organized. Here’s some unique reasons why I recommend this for teachers:
- Includes a communication log
- Notes and important dates spread before each month
- Weekly lesson planning spreads for Monday- Friday with 6 divided sections
- 7 student checklist spreads
Lily Pulitzer Agenda ($30): great for the non-working girl! This is a very basic planner that keeps things straightforward while also being super cute and trendy! Perfect for those that don’t have too many roles to perform and need something simple and clean. Here’s some unique reasons why I this makes a great planner:
- Fairly inexpensive compared to others listed
- Everyone loves Lily prints- so bright, cheerful, and cute!
- Comes with the cutest stickers to document your events with!
- Has month-at-a-glance tabs
Ivory Paper Co. ($58): the best planner for the busy mom/ working mom! These planners are great for those that wear multiple hats and need a little extra help keeping their thoughts together. Here are some reasons why I think these planners are great:
- Include a “daily schedule” for planning out each hour of your day
- Include a section for meal planning breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Include a section for “to-do” list with check boxes that you can check off as you go!
- Come in adorable prints!
- Family owned business & made in the U.S.A.
- Love that it includes contact/ password keeper pages as well
Cupcakes & Cashmere Daily Planner ($26): I used this brand all throughout college and thought it was so useful! This is a very basic planner but it was simple enough for me to keep my school stuff together and not-overwhelming which I appreciated. Great for quick, on-the-go. Here are some reasons why I like this planner:
- Clean and simple yet beautiful covers- very chic and not too “loud”
- The most inexpensive of all the planners I’ve shared!
- Includes year-at-glance pages so that you can easily tell which dates fall on which days (helpful for school when planning out study dates!)
- Large weekly sections for fast scribbling when on the go
