Thicker than a flannel… thinner than a coat… I present to you the shirt-jacket aka the “shacket!” This trend is taking the Fall fashion world by storm and I am absolutely here for it! I’m such a fan of clothing pieces that not only look cute but are functional and that’s exactly what the shacket is. It can be worn as a cute accessory to an outfit (aka around the waist for some silhouette definition), but it can also be worn as a functional jacket on chilly days!
One thing I love about fashion is that you can pick one piece and style it so many ways so today I decided to share 3 cute ways to style the same shacket. Each style is so different but I love that they can all be dressed up or down with a simple change of shoes!
Have you hopped on the “shacket” train yet?! Let me know which is your favorite the comments!
The Everyday Casual Shacket
This is probably my favorite way to style a shacket because it’s comfortable, functional for on-the-go, and it’s casual for most activities. This has absolutely been my go-to look for Fall this year. I would wear this to a sporting event, to run errands, a casual date night, and just even around the house. So comfy and cute!
The Date Night Shacket
Spanx leggings for the win! If you don’t own a pair of spanx leggings you are missing out my friend. So many people have messaged me saying these leggings have changed the game for them and I couldn’t agree more! I love to wear mine for a slightly dressier look- and how cute do they look with a shacket and heels?! When you wear tight leggings you will want to make sure your shacket is long enough to cover your tush similar to a tunic. I would wear this out for a date night, a semi-nice dinner (wouldn’t recommend plaid for fine dining!), or happy hour with the girls!
The Sweet & Sassy Shacket
I love a good shift dress with a jacket around the waist for some definition! Such a cute look that can easily be dressed up or down. I chose to dress it up with some over the knee boots but it would also be so cute with some white sneakers instead! The best part is that if it gets cold you can actually wear the shacket to keep you warm. That’s a win-win in my book!
